Mid-century in its bones: a broad ceramic shield, 15 by 13, with the top closed so all the light is pushed forward and down. It lights a reading chair properly, which most decorative sconces do not, and it does it without a visible lamp.
Integrated 12W LED. The closed top keeps the ceiling dark, which is the whole point if you want the fixture to define a corner rather than wash a room.
